Our service aims to provide high quality counselling and support
for people in the Bradford area who have been bereaved.

Course Tutors:

Mary Smith , BA Advanced Diploma in Counselling and BACP accredited counsellor, supervisor and trainer for BBS and Helen Breed. BSc (hons), Diploma in Counselling and Counselling Service Co-ordinator for BBS.

Who can apply?
The course is intended for people with an interest in counselling and in particular working with bereaved clients. You will need to have completed a 30 hour basic counselling skills course or be able to demonstrate training or experience at an equivalent level. You should be at least 25 years old. You should not have been bereaved of anyone important to you in the last 2 years.
The course is aimed at applicants who are willing to become voluntary bereavement counsellors with BBS. Applications are also welcome from anyone who would find bereavement counselling skills useful in their work place or in another voluntary organisation. Places on the course are limited and priority will be given to those applicants who want to work for BBS following the course.
